IT ALLEGED THAT THE PATIENT UNDERWENT HEMODIAYSIS IN LIGHT OF SUFFERING FROM A CLOSED HEAD INJURY AND THAT THE ADMINISTRATION OF HEMODIALYSIS WAS CONTRAINDICATED. THE PATIENT WAS FOUND TO HAVE A SUBDORAL HEMATOMA. SHE WAS OPERATED UPON FOR THE HEMATOMA AND UNDERWENT A CRANIOTOMY AND DIED DAYS LATER FROM RESPIRATORY FAILURE.

IT IS ALLEGED THAT THE ADMINISTRATION OF HEMODIALYSIS WAS CONTRAINDICATED ON A PATIENT WITH A CLOSE A HEAD INJURY. DR WAS INFORMED THAT THE PATIENT HAD SUSTAINED A CLOSED HEAD INJURY. THE PATIENT WAS A FRAIL 68 YEAR OLD FEMALE WITH A LONG HISTORY OF MEDICAL PROBLEMS, MOSTLY RELATED TO HER DIABETES.
