Principal Injury Giving Rise To The Claim
Patient with long-standing RSD was first evaluated by insured on 11-05-10 and diagnosed with neuromas of the 2nd and 3rd interspaces.Over the course of the next several months, patient was seen by insured primarily at the home of the patient but occasionally in the office as well.Treatment consisted of multiple types of injections into the 2nd and 3rd interspaces bilaterally.Surgery was subsequently performed by insured on 03-11-11 to remove the neuromas from the left foot.Patient continued to experience pain and problems with his RSD, and insured continued to administer injections to the 2nd and 3rd interspaces.A pneumatic pump was recommended for his chronic edema.The last visit with insured was on 08-03-11.Patient claims his RSD spread to other extremities after his surgical intervention, and alleges insured performed the surgery in patient¿s home under unsterile conditions and without written consent.
Severity Of Injury
Temporary: Minor - Infections, misset fracture, fall in hospital. Recovery delayed.
