Patient with a decreased sodium level was discharged from ED with a diagnosis of a viral syndrome. Two days later, she was admitted to the hospital with seizure, worsening hyponatremia, hypoxia, osmotic demylination syndrome with leukoencephalopathy and left visual field defect. The Notice of Intent was voluntarily withdrawn against this physician as the results of the sodium level were not given to him. THIS PHYSICIAN IS PROVIDED A DEFENSE AND INDEMNIFICATION UNDER THIS POLICY IN ACCORDANCE WITH AN INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT.
