He was triaged at 8:06 p.m., at which time his vital signs were: temperature 103.5, pulse 120, respiration 18, blood pressure 113/53, pulse ox 98%, pain 9 out of 10.He also gave a history of diarrhea and vomiting over the past three days.
Operation, Diagnostic, Or Treatment Procedure Rendered Causing The Injury
Patient was triaged at 8:06 p.m.At 8:10 p.m. he was given 800 mg. of Motrin.At 8:45 p.m. he was sent back to the main emergency room for treatment.At about the same time, 8:50 p.m., the patient was given 1 gram of Tylenol.At 11:05 p.m. patient was sent back to a room at which time his temperature was 98.8.He was seen by subject at 12:30 a.m. on April 17, 2006.Patient's exam was essentially normal.His pulse ox was 98, he was not in respiratory distress, and had normal breath sounds.Subject recalls that the patient had not done anything for his condition over the past three days other than take Dayquil.He had taken no fluids.At 12:47 a.m. he was given another 800 mg of Motrin.He was given PO fluids in the emergency room.He was discharged at 12:55 a.m. on April 17, 2006 with a prescription for Zithromycin and instructions to drink lots of fluids, return for any concerns and follow up with his private doctor in two days. Subject noted upon discharge that patient was likely suffering from a viral illness. The discharge vitals were temp 97.5, pulse 58, respiration 16, blood pressure 98/55, pulse ox 96.
