Final Diagnosis For Which Treatment Was Sought Including Patient's Actual Condition
The patient had been treating with this provider for sometime. The patient had a history of dyspnea, hyperlipidemia and hypertension. The patient presented with chest tightness and headache for several weeks. The patient was immediately put on Metropolol, aspirin and a Statin and a recommendation was made for the patient to see an interventional cardiologist for a cardiac catheterization.
Operation, Diagnostic, Or Treatment Procedure Rendered Causing The Injury
The patient was advised she needed to have a cardiac catheterization. She refused the procedure. Therefore, she was scheduled to have a Lexiscan study and before the study was performed, she had an arrest. It was alleged that this provider did not timely schedule a cardiac workup.
