Final Diagnosis For Which Treatment Was Sought Including Patient's Actual Condition
Patient presented to insured doctor's facility and was treated by ARNP for major depression with severe anxiety and migranes. She was in the process of divorcing her husband, suffering from alcohol abuse and inappropriate/ aggressive behavior. It was documented the patient did not have ideations or attempts of suicide.
Operation, Diagnostic, Or Treatment Procedure Rendered Causing The Injury
At one point the patient had a fight with her boyfriend and intended to torch his car and boat. She was intercepted by police en route, believed it was for a DUI and used her lighter to ignite the gasoline container in her car. The patient was taken to the hospital and treated for second- and third-degree burns. Months later following her release from the hospital, she was instructed to follow up with the Burn Clinic and to see psychiatric help regarding her depression and alcohol use.. The patient returned to the ARNP she saw previously, where she was diagnosed with PTSD, dependent personality disorder and status post-burn victim. It was noted she was never suicidal when she lit herself on fire.
