68 year-old male patient, with a history of hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, diabetes mellitus, and smoker for x25 years, was seen at Bardmoor Emergency Center on 07/21/2008 with complaints of bilateral shoulder pain following WII game and home activity.
Operation, Diagnostic, Or Treatment Procedure Rendered Causing The Injury
Patient was diagnosed with DX; shoulder sprain. An EKG was completed prior to discharge and was interpreted as abnormal, but not suggestive of ischemia or Acute Coronary Syndrome. Patient was instructed to follow up with a cardiologist within one to two days. Physician had been advised by emergency room group that appointments would be available during this time interval for cardiologists covering the emergency room.
