Safety Management Steps Taken by Insured to Make Similar Occurrence Less Likely
I now call the patient directly if routine consult is called to me, not relying on the nurses assessment.I have stopped accepting any consults of barriatric surgery patients, and I have never done barriatric surgery in practice. The hospital now has intensivists in house who can better assess and call appropriate consults and call the appropriate physicians already on the case.
