Principal Injury Giving Rise To The Claim
Following bunion surgery, patient developed what appeared to be a post-op infection; however, she was actually allergic to the nickel that was in the hardware. Insured scheduled her for surgery to remove the hardware and revision of the prior surgery. On her last visit with insured, she complained of pain at the right hallux. Patient alleges insured's surgery was negligently performed and not indicated based on her exam and x-ray findings.
Severity Of Injury
Temporary: Minor - Infections, misset fracture, fall in hospital. Recovery delayed.
