Patient presented with ingrown nail. A P & A procedure was performed and antibiotics prescribed. When patient returned for follow-up, it is noted he did not take the antibiotic as recommended. At this visit, the area was clearly infect and there was some pus draining. He was given instructions on how to treat the toe and another Rx for Keflex. This was the last visit. Mother of patient claims another podiatrist diagnosed MRSA, and patient had to be treated with antibiotics. It is alleged a culture should have been taken by insured, which would have found the MRSA at an earlier date.

Temporary: Minor - Infections, misset fracture, fall in hospital. Recovery delayed.
