She was diagnosed with the Epstein Barr virus and continued to have complaint of fatigue, a waxing and waning of her lymph nodes and was sent to various specialists.She was diagnosed with sarcoid and treated with steroids.It wasn't until a liver biopsy in June 2001 yielded a diagnosis of Hodgkin's lymphoma which was a stage IVB.

From an infectious Disease standpoint there was no misdiagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma resulting in the ultimate demise of Rosine Malka on April 1, 2002.Rosine Malka died less than one year after the diagnosis was made and was under the care of an oncologist during Dr. Kohna's treatment.
