Operation, Diagnostic, Or Treatment Procedure Rendered Causing The Injury
Patient needed an exploration 13 days after the incisional hernia repair. They claim the ischemia of the colon was due to a stitch, but the pathology showed ischemic changes to a lon segment of the colon. This was possible embolic-clot in one of the vessels. They still claimed it was due to a stitch from the incisional hernia. There was no evidence of this and the pathologist saw not evidence of a foreign body on the colon that resembled a stitch.
