DOCTOR WAS CALLED TO THE ER TO SEE A 48 YEAR OLD MALE ADMITTED TO PALMETTO HOSPITAL WITH A DIAGNOSIS OF PANCREATITIS. DOCTOR DID A ERCP PROCEDURE TO RULE OUT A STONE BLOCKING THE COMMON BILE DUCT. IT WAS DETERMINED THE PANCREATIC DUCT WAS NORMAL. THE DECEDENT WAS DISCHARGED HOME. THREE DAYS LATER HE HAD SEVERE ABDOMINAL PAIN. HIS WIFE CALLED 911 BUT HE CODED IN THE ER AND DIED FROM CARDIAC ARREST.
