A 33 yof, right hand dominate was brought to MCH after falling off a bar. X-rays revealed a right forearm fracture of the ulnar and radius.
Operation, Diagnostic, Or Treatment Procedure Rendered Causing The Injury
An ORIF of the right mid-shaft, radius and ulnar facture was preformed. Post-op, x-rays demonstrated good alignment and placement of the metallic plate. Due to pain, on the 3rd day following the initial surgery, the pt was taken back to surgery with DX of possible compartment syndrome. A fasciotomy, debridement and dissection of the nerves were performed without complications.
