The patient presented with complaints of heartburn and bloated abdomen.Patient was diagnosed and treated for GERD. the patient then had a MI and while in the hospital a stroke.

Patient was put on Prevacid 30mg daily for 1-2 weeks.A treadmill test (based on all the present risk factors) Should have been ordered. If this would have been done then the MI and subsequent stroke would have been avoided.
