Physician's orders permitted administration of 2mg of Dilaudid every 4 hours. Nurseadministered a dose of Dilaudid at about 5:15 am &d another at about 8:00 am, an hour & 15 minutes too early to be in compliance with the order. Patient went into respiratory arrest & was transferred to ICU where she was intubated.
