Pregnant patient admitted due to preeclampsia, initially diagnosed with HELP syndrome but was later thought to have HUS. She received multiple transfusions and plasmapheresis. Chest x-ray revealed the presence of cardiomegaly. She ultimately suffered a cardiac arrest. Post-mortem diagnosis included complication of HUS and myocarditis.
