Principal Injury Giving Rise To The Claim
Patient presented with complaints of a bunnion and hammertoes, for which surgery was performed.Post-op, patient suffered a fracture of the osteotomy site, for which an ORIF was performed.Patient claimed continued pain, which was addressed by insured; however, patient subsequently left his care & went on to treat with other doctors.Patient claims she developed RSD, underwent subsequent surgeries, including amputation of the first ray and metatarsal.She alleges insured used a bone graft during the second surgery which was oversized, and a fixation device that was inappropriate, which caused her problems.

Permanent: Significant - Deafness, loss of limb, loss of eye, loss of one kidney or lung.
