The patient presented for liposuction, breast reduction, and a breast lift. One breast was larger than the other and the doctor recommended a small implant. The liposuction was to her back, arms and thighs. The insured provided the anesthesia care for the procedure.

The surgery itself appeared uneventful. During a follow-up appointment with the surgeon, the patient was bleeding under her breast and the doctor suggested a certain wound care center. At this center there was some infected material removed with some medication applied.

The patient had a surgical cleaning out of the wounds and was informed that if the infection was all the way back to the implant the implant would need to be removed. The cultures returned a result of staph and MRSA. The patient had both implants removed and has not undergone any reconstructive surgery.
